Its a day late, maybe a dollar short but im joining in with ,
,
,
and a bunch of others, for a #ttt or #threetunetuesday. Im generally stuck in the 2000s and one of my favorite bands ever is Avenged Sevenfold. They have songs that are more metal as was their origins, but also have some songs that are clean and gentle, like a babys bottom. 👶
The guitar i love is a signature model, from the guitarist of Avenged. The amp as well is special model, but i havent quite practiced that much past few years even though ive basically been playing for almost 20 years. On and off though, mostly working past 10 years but im blowing the dust off the amp to plug in and dare to attempt a quick upload on 3 speak for the 1st time. First lets get to the 3 tunes.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD
A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN
- This song is a mix of instruments, almost like an orchestra. The story is little grotesque but its all in good fun. I wont get too much into the details but there is an essence of necrophelia in which a story plays out. Its worth a listen. It may have not been my favorite at the time, but its a classic tale that ends in a marriage.
SO FAR AWAY (LIVE)
- A soft soft song in memory of their drummer that died about 10 years ago already. This video is 3 years old i believe, live and in pretty good fashion. I think they put on a great show. The talent is among some of the greatest in my opinion. All original members except a newer drummer of course. Lot of emotion in this song as i represents the good people we lose, and they are so far away
SHEPHERD OF FIRE
- One of their heavier style songs. Its a banger. Fast, crunchy guitar riffs. Wicked fast and quirky solo. I once tried practicing the solo but its a tough one. With due diligence it can be possible but im too rusty now to even attempt it. This song was also included as a bonus track in a Zombies game (COD).
I want to try and upload a small piece of me jamming and was going to try and upload in this video but im not quite sure how to just yet. Will have to bust out the equipment and dabble with 3 Speak a little so i can figure it out. I didnt think i can upload from mobile but looks like i can. Just need to record a small video. Just not sure if i have to post from 3speak, and use the template over there instead of ecency that im on right now.
