I am new to this project and I wanted to tell you about the experience I had and the music and dance that I liked.
Year 2019, I was on vacation in the Peruvian jungle and they invited me to a patronal festival that lasts a week. The city is called "LEDOY", located in the department of "San Martin", to get there you have to navigate the "Huallaga" river.
I arrived on the last day, they invited me to lunch, we finished eating and everyone began to change and leave their homes. It was time for the "PANDILLA" to the beat of the famous "BOMBO BAILE".
The "PANDILLA" is a dance that is accompanied by instruments like the "QUENA", "BOMBO" and "TAMBOR" that give it a rhythm that it is impossible to stop moving the body.
We left the house embracing, following the people who were playing the music. After a couple of hours of dancing, we arrived at the city square where there were "UNSHAS", which are trees placed on the ground with gifts in their branches, and that they must knock down with an ax. It was at that moment that everyone began to dance around the tree waiting for them to knock it down to get the gifts.
Without a doubt it was one of the best experiences I have ever had and if you ever visit Peru, I recommend you go to the Peruvian jungle, where its people are very friendly.
