OK, this time it has been way too long since my last post. What can I say, sometimes there is traffic on the road and you just can't get to where you want to go in the time you were planning.
First, some updates with Double Eagle. The other eagle, JoeJoe, is now the father to a baby, which means that recording has slowed down a bit. It hasn't stopped, mind you, and in fact a month ago I made the 5 hour drive to see him and his little human. Instead of recording for 4 days in the woods, we had a few 6AM mornings in his garage to play with musical setups, practice playing some songs, and we recorded this little ditty:
I also took this time to work on some lyric videos, and we now have lyric videos for Thurman's Kitchen [beatbox] and Qualms with That:
Speaking of Qualms with That, if you haven't yet ordered the split 7" by United Duality with Cheer Up and Double Eagle with Qualms with That, be sure to pick up a copy immediately at our Bandcamp page, here:

In terms of Rising Star updates, Double Eagle finally assembled their full band in the game, and we have made a few tracks, usually with assistance from my 7 year old son. Here is one of our favorites; be sure to listen through long enough to hear the drop out and then the drums coming back in:

The Double Eagle record NFT on Rising Star, COVID 20/20, has been doing well, and in fact there are only 3 more copies left (since I do want to keep one for myself of course). This is limited to 20, and there will not be more. If you're interested in trading cards to get a copy, contact me and I'm game!
Now for TAH Records updates. If you are up-to-date on TAH Records, then you know our next release scheduled is the full-length compilation LP Thru the Clouds of Smoke, featuring 10 tracks from 10 artists (many of whom have music on Rising Star). The one thing I am waiting for on this release is the cover art, which is being done by my very good friend. This has gotten delayed for quite a while, because, well, friends get stuck in traffic too. The good news is that I have received test pressings of the record!! For those of you who are unaware, test pressings of records are pressed vinyl records, except with no label art or cover art. Here's what the test pressing for Thru the Clouds of Smoke looks like:
This is mainly to make sure the record sounds and is organized as it should be (the most common error to correct, apparently, is which side is A and which is B). This is also when I first get to hear how each of the tracks translates to vinyl, which is really a lot of how I picked the tracks. And let me tell you, I'm not afraid to say, these tracks sound pretty pretty pretty damn good on vinyl at high volume. This record really turned out the way I had hoped in terms of the sound and flow.
The actual pressing of the record starts once the test pressing has been approved, and once all of the artwork has been submitted. The label art has been submitted, which you can find in a previous post, and this week cover art will be submitted. Here is a sneak peak at the back cover art, which I peeped when I visited my friend on Thursday:
So, exciting times with TAH Records, with Thru the Clouds of Smoke (TAH-002) coming up for preorder momentarily, The Stress Cones Dub Plate 10" (TAH-004) being currently mastered for vinyl, and the Rising Star LP (TAH-005, title TBA soon) having its track ordering finalized, we will certainly have our work cut out for us.
Before I leave you, here's a hot tip if you are into music, interesting artwork, world-building, and vinyl records: Check out the Intergalactic Beets Project. They are on SoundCloud:

And finally, three different 7" records which will be released if enough orders happen, so hop to it:
