Today we finally got back to work with the band and we took advantage of the nice weather to record a little acoustic clip for April 25, the Italian liberation day from fascism.

Oggi finalmente siamo tornati operativi con la band e abbiamo sfruttato il bel tempo per registrare un piccolo clip in acustico in vista del 25 Aprile, festa della liberazione italiana dal fascismo.
The alarm clock rang early, 07:30 am up, I carefully prepare all the equipment of my mobile studio while having my coffee and enjoying the morning air. This is the equipment I use for these video clips intended for social networks:
- AudioTechnica AT2020 microphone
- Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) audio interface
- AudioTechnica ATH-M30 headphones
- MacBook Pro 16" 2019 with Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro
- GoPro Hero3+ (provisional - under test)
La sveglia ha suonato presto, ore 07:30 in piedi, preparo accuratamente tutta l'attrezzatura del mio studio mobile mentre prendo il caffè e mi godo l'aria mattutina. Questa è l'attrezzatura che utilizzo per questi videoclip destinati ai social network:

After reviewing the necessary tools several times I load everything into my walking backpack, grab up my trusty 30m power outlet, a microphone stand and off we go. 11 o'clock arrival at the castle of Sorrivoli, a beautiful place to which we are very attached. As always, the welcome was very warm, with bottles of wine and flamboyant greetings. It's been a long time since we've seen each other.
Dopo aver revisionato più volte gli strumenti necessari carico tutto nel mio zaino da camminata, prendo su la mia fedele presa di corrente da 30 mt. , un'asta per il microfono e si parte. Ore 11 arrivo al castello di Sorrivoli, bellissimo posto a cui siamo molto legati. L'accoglienza è come sempre caldissima, bottiglie di vino e saluti sgargianti. Era davvero da tempo che non ci si vedeva.

In order to avoid acoustic interference due to the wind and to some passers-by who were curious about the music, we decided to position ourselves in a staircase with an archway and brick walls, finding an appreciable reverberation for the acoustic instruments and having the right outlet for the bass of the drum. The song we recorded is called "Col Parabello in spalla" and is a resistance song that was sung by partisans, taken from the alpine song "Col fucile in spalla".
Per evitare le interferenze acustiche dovute al vento e a qualche passante che si avvicinava incuriosito dalla musica abbiamo deciso di posizionarci in una scalinata con l'arcata e i muri in mattoni, trovando un reverbero apprezzabile per gli strumenti acustici e avendo il giusto sfogo per le basse del tamburo. La canzone che abbiamo registrato si intitola "Col Parabello in spalla" ed è una canzone di resistenza che veniva cantata dai partigiani, ripresa dal canto alpino "Col fucile in spalla".

The recordings were challenging because of the wine and the desire to play more and more songs. In addition to this we decided to take advantage of the time available to record other tracks for future releases. But in the end it turned out to be a mixed day of recordings and jam sessions for the listeners who had gathered nearby to enjoy some music. A good 6 hours of live and improvisation in the open air, under the spring sun.
I couldn't have asked for better.
Le registrazioni sono state impegnative per colpa del vino e della voglia di suonare più e più brani. Infatti oltre a questa canzone abbiamo deciso di approfittare del tempo a disposizione per registrare altri brani per le uscite future. Alla fine ne è venuta fuori una giornata mista tra registrazioni e jam session per gli ascoltatori che si erano radunati nei dintorni a godersi un po' di musica. 6 ore abbondanti di live ed improvvisazione all'aria aperta, sotto il sole primaverile.
Non avrei potuto chiedere di meglio.

In honor of Liberation Day, my bandmate raised the red flag on top of the tower, a gesture that is renewed every year in memory of the resistance.
