Full On
This style is characterized by being very melodic, with bass lines that move one or two octaves.
The musical ideas are usually faster and change constantly throughout the song.

Progressive Psy
The word ¨progressive¨ by itself is not a pure genre, it is more a modifier of any genre, it is characterized by adding elements and then subtracting them.
In Psytrance, the progressive sound is hypnotic, constant and fluid.
Generally its tempo is slower, ranging between 134 and 138 beats per second.

Tribal
Characterized by ethnic chants and percussions, let's say it is the most popular at festivals.

Darkpsy
As its name suggests, this subgenre is dark, usually includes incidental effects that evoke a horror movie, its tempo is also usually faster.
HI-Tech
One of the fastest styles of Psytrance, it combines elements of Psycore with Dark and Full On, at a tempo between 170 and 230 beats per minute.
Psychill
A relaxed style, with a calmer tempo, between 90 and 120 bpm. Psychedelic atmospheres and incidental elements that will easily take you on a trip.
Mnimal Psy
As with preogressive, the word minimal is a qualifier that can be added to any genre and only means that the track lacks many elements.
A simple beat with some added sounds makes the track minimal.
These are the most relevant subgenres, although I missed to mention a couple of them.
