Hello friends of hive. How are you all ? It's starting to look a bit like I'm posting monthly instead of daily/weekly from a long time ago :) ... Has nothing to do with Hive but more with my available time. Yet a new post about an artist I've never really listened to that well, Stromae, and a Belgian singer who was off the radar for a number of years. I knew him but never really listened to his music. He is (or was) quite eccentric in his expressions on stage, which I can appreciate :).
He has a new single "L'enfer" where he sings about suicide, depression. Pretty autobiographical. In a news broadcast on French TV, he performed the song live and seated. This has touched a lot of people because of the subject but also because he is so open about his own struggles. Whatever way he brings this, it certainly makes me silent.
He has performed several times on Dutch TV, including with the song Papaoutai. This clip shows the unparalleled creative talent of these artists. Everything is alive with music and experience. Yesterday there was an interview on TV in which he spoke openly about his past years, he got married, became a father... Now a happy man. The song Papaoutai is about the loss of his father in the past, on his new album "Multitude" he has just written a song for his son.... How beautiful can it be....
The next video shows how the man empathizes with his music, in his role.... It reminds me of the old French chansons... Sublime,
Have a nice day !!
