It's been a while since I made a list about crazy bass players. For me there is no real best bass player in the world anymore. Every bass player is different, in his or her own way.... But they all have something in common, they master their instrument like no other..
Rhonda Smith

Rhonda got really famous playing with Prince. Prince got a real nose for absolute awesome musicians.
Leland Sklar

Leland Sklar is a very famous bassplayer whom played with a lot of different artists. For instance Phil Collins. I love his sensitive playing and really feeling the music.
Verdine White
Source
Verdine White is probably one of the most famous bassplayers and not only cause of his playing but also from his great performances with Earth Wind & Fire. He is energetic on stage and has a great timing.
Pino Palladino
Source
Really one of my heroes. Pino has played with so many artists, but the most people will know him (not by name) by the bassline of Paul Young's monsterhit "Where ever I lay my hat"..

Pino playing a bassline for the Dutch Alan Clark.
One of the best perfomances of Pino was with the John Mayer Trio.... His blueslines......wow...
John Myung
Source
Other style, same mastery of the instrument... John Myung is really a different level with the progressive rock.... His speed... Fenomenal..
Like I said, there are so many great bassplayers outthere, to be continued.. :)
Have a great evening,
Peter
