Description from Strava:
It was looking bright out there when I woke up. Yesterday was nice at times, but then we had some heavy rain. It felt okay when I got out. I went for an extra layer as my thermostat said it was about 4C. Strava reckons it would feel like -2C, but I was warm enough.
I did the usual route and started off a little quicker than I have recently. I paid for it later as some of the hills felt hard. I saw several of the local black squirrels up at Fairfield. They obviously find enough food in the woods there. Otherwise it was pretty quiet.
I did come across a big puddle that I did not fancy running through, so I skirted around it in the mud. The overall pace is similar to recent runs, but I feel I am improving. My recent hip and back issues are not troubling me, so I can focus on the running.
Podcast listening was Late Night Linux and Add To Playlist. I have plenty of shows to listen to.
I plan to run at parkrun this week as they seem to have enough volunteers. It may still be muddy, so I will probably not be too quick. It saps your energy when you are just trying to keep upright as you slip around. I would like to get to more of the local runs, but that means getting up earlier and driving somewhere.
Run free and have fun.
