Description from Strava:
Last night was our fortnightly pub music session and it was a fun one. I do not really plan what I am going to play, but I was happy to get through a few songs without messing up too much and some were played from memory. I have a fair few I can just play. I just have to remind myself now and then.
I slept okay, but getting up can be hard sometimes. I had not run since Saturday, so I wanted to get out there. I think that interval runs help my parkrun pace and that is what I did. It was my usual five sprints up the hill to Fairfield.
I had not really noticed these Highway Boundary posts there before. There seems to be some legal requirement for them, but I am not sure what purpose they actually serve. It may be something to do with private land bordering a road, but three big posts seems like overkill. I will look out for others.
I just go as fast as I can up the hill. I was a little slower than last time, but it was not too bad. I just need some recovery time on the way back down and so I do walk for a bit. According to Strava I was going into the 'anaerobic' zone where the body cannot get enough energy from breathing and uses what is stored in the muscle cells. It should help on longer runs too.
I took it gently on the run home, but stretched out the distance a bit. It was by luck that it was exactly 6km. I picked up some rubbish from the road on the way back as some people are just lazy about disposing of it. There were some squashed drink cans.
I have had another visit from the people who installed our solar panels today. They are still trying to figure out why it sometimes trips out. Apparently some other people have had the same issue. It does not affect power production too much as I watch out for it so I can reset the breaker. This is peak season for solar, so I do not want to miss out. I export most of it and get paid.
Run free and shine on!
