just finished a 6.02km run, that lasted for 37 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 436.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
There is a chance of rain today, but it was dry for my run. It was another of my hill sprint workouts. I tried to run through my end point instead of up to it, but the pace was not that special. I did manage a few minutes under 5min/km though.
There are several speed bumps on the road that do not really affect my running, but there is a substantial warning sign that is getting overgrown.
On the way back I diverted over the railway footbridge. This is a long straight bit of rail running from London up to Peterborough and we get quite a few trains passing through. There used to be another crossing where you walked across the tracks, but that was replaced by another footbridge some years ago. It was fairly safe as you could hear and see any trains that were coming.
Someone at work was asking if I wanted to do a marathon in November. I just do not feel ready for that. I would need to start an intensive training regime several months before to build up to it. I could probably do another half marathon now, but have never done a full one.
If you want inspiration there is a 97 year old lady in Ireland who has done 250 parkruns. She took it up a few years ago when she was told to give up climbing. I have only done 144, so I have a couple of years at least to match her.
