Description from Strava:
After my sprint workout yesterday I wanted an easy run today, so I was monitoring my heart rate on my Garmin watch again. To be in zone 2 it needs to be under 140bpm. I have to go very gently for that, so that means around 7min/km.
It was a lovely morning as I headed across the railway to the fields. There is the fairly natural area around the river and then it is onto farm tracks between open fields. It is fairly flat around here so I can see a long way. You may spot the Shillington water tower in the distance.
The track goes across the middle of a couple of fields, but it is well trodden. I did not go all the way to Henlow Camp today, but cut along a grassy path by a big ditch. I have not run that bit very often so Strava logged it as a good time. It also let me know that I have run 100km this month. That may sound like a lot, but some people do more in a week. I do not have the time for that, but intense running can bring improvements.
We have a Move in May activity challenge at work, so I will be logging more walking to get more km on Strava. I am not sure if there will be prizes this year, but it gets competitive anyway.
I should be at parkrun on Saturday. A US anti-trans group are trying to get parkrun to not allow trans people to run with their chosen gender. This is a not a competitive event where that would matter and I do not think that it should be an issue. parkrun is for everyone.
Run free and support freedom.
