Description from Strava:
I do not generally run three days in a row, but we have a long weekend and I was not feeling too bad. It rained again last night and was overcast this morning, but dry. The ground is a little soft in places.
I crossed the railway to the fields again. I was watching my heart rate again and trying to keep it under 140. I mostly managed that by running about as slowly as I could. I opted to turn off the main track to do the loop around the two hidden lakes. Branches have been piled up to deter people from going in as I expect there is a risk of someone falling in. I saw some ducks fly past and then a red kite was swooping around.
There were not many people out there, but I saw some runners around Arlesey. As I crossed the river a heron was wading downstream and was not too bothered about me. I see the smaller egrets around, but they tend to fly off.
The local cafe were opening up and the takeaway places were getting deliveries so it was bustling around there. I will try the cafe some time.
My legs felt fine despite doing about 30km over the weekend. I did notice that my route looks like I am giving people the finger, but that was not intentional.
Since then we have been into Letchworth for a coffee and a wander around the shops. Will be taking it easy after all the gardening we have been doing. We also put our pool up, but it needs to warm up a bit out there before I get in.
Happy Star Wars Day. May the fourth be with you and run free.
