Description from Strava:
I have said that the weather has been mixed and we had heavy rain yesterday. It was okay when I went for my run, but we had hail later. It is a little chilly, but I was warm enough.
I was at our pub jam session last night playing some songs on ukulele. I took inspiration from the performance I joined in with on Friday and used that group's songbook. So we had a bit of Pink Pony Club. It seems the current pub owners will be leaving in September due to changes in the brewery lease. That is a shame as they have been good to us. With all the new houses being built they could potentially have more customers. I think the pub is listed so could not be demolished, but builders must be eyeing up the big garden.
It was time for a bit of a workout, so I headed for our nearest hill to do some intervals. I just run up it as fast as I can manage. Today that was not too bad really despite not sleeping great. I saw a few other runners passing through. In fact it went so well that I did an extra sprint as I usually only do five.
I took the long way home to add some distance for the work challenge. I noticed that a couple of houses have now been demolished where a new road will go. This will run through the new estate by the railway and offer an alternative to the High Street that can get gridlocked. That can be due to all the parked cars as a lot of people in terraced houses do not have a driveway.
I plan to be at parkrun on Saturday. I may need my trail shoes if this rain has soaked in. There is another local one I want to do, but I will need the car to get there.
As always, this post will get picked up by to go on my blog and earn a few pennies. Let me know if you need an account.
