The negative impact of African leaders on their citizens has caused many setbacks for the development of their states, increasing the poverty rate and unemployment.
Many of these African leaders only prioritize their own interests without considering the well-being of their citizens. While a larger percentage of their citizens live in abject poverty, they sat down syphoning money for the development of their country.
African leaders, most of the time, always see the leadership position as their right, and they always take advantage of the position to embezzle the commonwealth of the nation.

It is no longer a new thing where African leaders will amend their constitution just for their interest, without considering the citizens, some even make sure that the constitution is amended for them to remain in office for years.
It is only in Africa, that you will see political office holders earning a huge amount of money as their monthly income, and holding back the little amount of money that is supposed to be paid to the public servants at the end of the month. Impossibilities are possible in African governance when the political office holders are bigger than the law.
After some African countries had gotten their independence from their colonial masters many years ago, they still depend on them for the development of their states, when they have the resources that can make their country compete with other developed countries worldwide. They often traveled abroad for medical treatment, while they abandoned their hospitals without the necessary equipment to treat a common man, who cannot afford the expenses for treatment abroad.
Some years ago, we heard about a military coup in some African countries. The coup has liberated the country from being a dependent country. The coup was led by a young military officer Ibrahim Traore. He is a visionary leader, who prioritizes the welfare of his citizens.

His policies and plans have given hope to the common man of the country. He makes use of every raw material of the country for its development and for the benefit of every individual.
Some weeks ago, POTUS invited some African leaders to the white house, and General Traore was also invited, but he declined the invitation, and said he is busy with the people of his country.
Every African leader should resist the acts of selfishness and imbibe good governance that will make life more bearable and conducive for their citizens.
We should not wait until when there is a
coup before the citizens will have hope in the government. Africans deserve a democratic government where the voices of the citizens will be heard.
African leaders have made the country a lawless state, where there is no justice, and anyone who stands against their decision will be arrested for treason. No one has the right to freedom of speech, freedom of movement, etc.
African leaders must rise up with a better policy that will enable their different countries to compete with the developed countries, and for life to be bearable for the citizens.
