When it comes to matters of food, the rationale behind an overhyped food, I will say, totally depends on the preference of an individual. What one person may find overrated may be a great dish for another. In Ghana, there are quite a number of dishes that have gained popularity, and each of these dishes comes in different flavours and tastes. Each individual, I will say, has their own unique sense of taste and smell.
For me, taste is personal and can be influenced by certain factors, including our environment and our cultural background, and that is where the idea of overhyped food sets in.
The world of food is large and diverse, leading to a wide variety of tastes. From spicy to salty. There's something for everyone. A dish that one person finds overhyped may be the ideal flavour match for another.

Accepting this variation is critical to recognising that no dish is universally overhyped.Food trends come and go, and what seems overhyped today could be the next big thing tomorrow. Our perceptions of particular dishes can shift as our tastes and palates mature. What we formerly considered overrated may become a new favourite, and vice versa.
Let's take jollof rice, a popular West African delicacy that has ignited fierce discussion regarding its origins and excellence. While some argue that it is the world's best rice dish, others believe it is overrated and prefer other varieties such as Ghanaian jollof or Nigerian Jollof. Similarly, while many Ghanaians enjoy khebab, some may find it overly spicy or hot.
In conclusion, everyone has a way they rate food and I will no dish is over hyped but rather people rather have different sense of taste regarding every food
