Just a random picture of me thinking about what to write, then the word compare hit me. How did it hit me is another question I'm still asking myself, anyway I will be sure to say if I do remember but then again, I was thinking about what to write so I guess that's how it hit me. Quite a short poem but to me has a lot said in it.
why compare?
Shall I compare day and night?
For the day has its merits
So does the night has its too
Shall I compare summer to winter?
For if I do then nature would be judged
For each has its purpose
So why compare?
Why judge which is better?
Life with the mix
Twist and turns.
Not always what is planned
But for each, has its merits.
Using what we got for the better is if not all we have.
This poem talks about two things:
Life is really just a mix of good and bad but then again even with the negatives in the bad they shape the positive so all I ask is, why waste time hating on the bad when you could use the bad to better yourself and later enjoy the merits of the good. As a poet I see life on the bright side with all its chaos.
Then also it talks about how you should love yourself because no one is perfect, and no one has the right to judge you. Stand up, pick up what's left of you and show the world what you got because then again you were born how you are.
