Celebrating Hive Ghana's 50th Weekly Engagement Contest

The biggest obstacle to achieving anything in life is not starting it. Once we gather the courage to begin, we are sure to reach the end unless we choose to be quiet along the way.
I remember when the Hive Ghana weekly engagement contest began, it was just like yesterday. It took me some time to join the community because at first, I thought it was only for Ghanaians but later my friend clarified things for me and kept telling me about the exploit the community has been making on the hive Blockchain and she encouraged me to join it, which I eventually did.
One thing I love so much about the Hive Ghana weekly engagement contest is the educative and relatable topics. Most of the topics are about things I have experienced so writing doesn't give me trouble or rather I should say I write with joy, you know that feeling of writing and ideas keep flowing? LOL. It makes the whole thing fun.
So, I want to commend the effort of the community in always bringing up amazing, interesting, educative, and fun topics.
Ever since I began partaking in the weekly engagement contest, the community has always maintained this trait of coming up with nice topics and has not disappointed me that before.
Sometimes I wonder how they do it. Imagine bringing up three new and not just new but educational topics for 50 weeks, without repeating any, that's not children's play. I commend your effort honestly, please keep it up.
Impacts On My Life
Through the weekly contest, I was exposed to so many things about life that I was ignorant of. I said earlier that most of the topics were easy going but that doesn't mean that they don't push me out to do research.
To write on some topics, I need to do research, sometimes interacting with people to get their own experiences. Through that, I learn new things and get new experiences.
Through the weekly contest, I also learned how to interact and appreciate the work of others. There's a rule in the community, you don't just write and drop your post but you must read and comment on the posts of others. That rule has boosted my engagement level on the hive Blockchain.
I got used to not dropping my post without interacting with the posts of others and that has fetched me a few friends. Engagement plays a very vital role in hive Blockchain, neglecting it will slow down one's growth on the chain. Fortunately, the hive Ghana weekly engagement contest, in its wisdom, comes up with ways to keep our engagement active and I have benefitted from it immensely.
Another way the weekly prompt has influenced my life positively is by helping me maintain the creation of quality content and also not run out of what to write.
There are always three topics to write on from the hive Ghana community, one can write on one or the three if he or she wishes. I always have what to write on throughout the week, sometimes I am even the one that runs away from prompts, there is just more than enough to write on.
The day I didn't write, I was the one that chose not to write. Unlike then, when I go around looking for what to write on. This has helped me to always create content on Hive, it helps me to keep my Hive account active and thereby contribute to the growth of the chain by always creating content and not just any content because the Hive Ghana community will not accept any article that has no meaning and is less than 450 words.
For now, I don't think there is anything I want that the weekly contest hasn't covered, but In case anything comes up subsequently, I won't hesitate to say it.
Shout-out to the Hive Ghana community, congratulations on reaching this milestone, we are grateful for the impact you have made in our lives so far.
