When I saw this week's engagement topic In the #hiveghana community, If Your Alarm Clock Could Talk, Tell Us What It Might Say. one of my favorite songs from the legend Céline Dion, If Wall Could Talk came to mind, such a great melody I have enjoyed for many years.
Just imagine if all the objects in our home can talk, it might be interesting to hear them share their feelings about us, and we might even be shocked to hear some of their opinions. Or it might be too much for having to pay attention to what they have to say all of the time and for that I think things are better just the way they are.
Just imagine if my broom could talk and started whining about why it has to be the one cleaning the whole house all of the time lol 😆 I would have just said to it, just shut up and go do the job it's meant to do hahaha. But thank God I don't have to deal with all that.
So, if my alarm could talk below are

My 5 am alarm will be like, Why do you even bother to set me up when you knew you would already be up before I could make any sound? It seems like you just enjoyed hearing my sound for fun.😊
That is true, I don't know why I still have my alarm set to 5 am every morning when my son wakes up anytime from 4:30. He will crawl up to me for a cuddle and won't stop until I'm fully awake. For months he has been like that, so technically he has become my waking-up alarm. He never misses a day and my system is kind of already adjusted to that.
And if my alarm could talk, it might probably wonder why I never deactivated it from ringing. I guess I just love it to ring every morning for the fun of it.
In another instance, when I left it to keep on ringing during the day for a task I had set it for but because I was kind of busy doing something else I would just allow it to continue ringing for a while so I would not forget the task I had plans to do because if I put it off without completing the task it was set for, I might as well assume I had done the task and may forget to do it until later on.
I think my alarm would say, oh no not today again. Why do you always love to just let me continue wasting my time singing? You should get your damn priority right for once lady. If you had set me up to remind you of a task then why are you so busy doing something else? Hmmm, you humans can be so funny at times. 😂
I might switch it off immediately if I hear it whining to my ears like that lol but since it can't talk, that is one less thing on my worry list.
During my morning workout routine, when I feel lazy and try to ignore the ringing, it might tell me to get my lazy ass up and do the needful, if I want to keep my healthy body and in good shape. I think that might be the right motivation I need to keep going and not miss my workouts. And in this case, they can become such a great motivator.
When I keep to its timing, I think my alarm will likely praise me for not abandoning it somewhere in the room while it sings repeatedly.
Our alarm has become part and parcel of us. They help us keep to the right timing by reminding us of our tasks ahead and hereby making our work more effective.
