In our contemporary world, it is advisable that you show love to yourself as a person even before considering others because people are getting tough on themselves especially when things don't go the way they want it to be.
In other words, there are different ways that people can be kind to themselves and this would also help to improve their mental and psychological well-being. To be productive in our everyday activities in the society especially with ourselves, we need to be mentally balanced and healthy are the same time so as to be able to carry on. When a person is too tough on themselves and ignore the small things that can make them be happy within themselves it can lead to a vital loss.
One of the great ways to be kind to oneself is to always celebrate our wins that we achieve in life no matter how small or big. Based on my experience one time i witnessed where a student gave a presentation and the lecturer applauded her saying that her job was well presented and well articulated.
At the end of the class I also congratulated her but she dismiss it by saying that she could have done better by doing this and that. In my mind I was like, a tough professor applauded your work and you are still complaining. This is a win that anybody in our class would want to celebrate because it was not easy to please that particular professor.
Again, it is okay to ask for help when you need it but do not be too demanding from people it can become boring and tired. I remember when I first started this program I had little knowledge about the workings of the space and I was connected with somebody that helped me to grow and learn the basics and deep knowledge of the entire thing. I have come to notice that asking for help does not show weakness but rather it helps you to learn and grow more in your career or education.
