There have been lot of effects of colorism in our society and sometimes we think it's the white people that are racist all the time..... In a situation whereby all the white people disappear from the face of the earth, i still think that colorism will still furthermore exist in our communities and that wouldn't put an end to it because it doesn't just exist in black but also within we blacks.
There's no denying the fact that people with lighter skin benefits from preferential treatment in our society today, ranging from education to employment and media representation and even when it comes to modelling jobs because i have been a victim of this. I know some won't believe this but it's just what we are facing in our communities and let me back this up with some examples.
