Greetings everyone!
The year 2023 was filled with average UPs and many DOWNs, but nevertheless, I'm grateful to have scaled through to 2024 with a firm life, ready to smash goals and make good memories again. Last year provided me with numerous memories, some good and others bad...like a sour soup.
The positive aspect, especially with the challenging ones, is that they made me stronger because what doesn't kill a person makes them stronger.
Below is a list of the moments that really caught my heart in 2023. The good and the bad ones.
Wedding Ceremony in December 2023
Late November 2023, Jeff, a very close friend from childhood, informed me of his wedding and asked me to be his best man. Despite knowing the heavy expenses that come with such a duty, I assured him of my support. The arrangements and preparations weren't easy; I had to sew a new suit with the same colors as his, costing me $40+. Transportation to the village for the wedding was also challenging, but that's what we do for friends.

The wedding was fun, I had the best of times, we danced, although I couldn't eat to my satisfaction due to moving to & fro. When it was time for me to eat, it was time for me to return to my city.
The Surprising thing that happened;
On that Saturday, the Hive Zealy campaign was going on, and during the whole processions and party, I had my airpod plugged on my ears, expecting calls from friends for quest reminders. To my surprise, no quest came out all through the day.
I had imagined the situation whereby I need to leave my duty post to attend to a quest, especially a Space on X. It wouldn't have been funny at all.
It turned out to be a fun day!
October Zealy Campaign Shook My Entire System
I found myself depending and hoping fully on promised money, even though I often advise against it. Looking back at the event, I can't help but laugh.
The final quest on the Hive Zealy campaign was done, and I found myself in the top three, entitled to $250.
I had plans to change my old phone, even window-shopped for it.
A day before the distribution, a tiebreaker was set, and I was pushed down to 21 on the leaderboard, earning only $50. I couldn't believe my eyes, and although I was pained, I've learned my lesson and now laugh at my foolishness for depending wholly on money I wasn't sure about.
The good thing is that I got a new phone before the year ended.
FIFA Women's World Cup 2023
One of the best moments I had in 2023 was during the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 hosted in Australia and New Zealand. As a big fan of female football, watching the Super Falcons (Nigeria senior female team) shake the world, especially with the win against the host nation Australia, was a remarkable journey.
Before that match, we were already written off because the Australians were the favorites to win. However, it ended with a 3-2 victory in our favor, and I couldn't contain my joy that day.
