Hello everyone, I am Annalisa Donkor from Ghana. I am currently in my third year of studying environmental and safety engineering at the University of Mines and Technology. I was introduced to this platform by .
I love engineering, but my greatest passion lies in creative writing. When I was really young, I used to fantasize a lot. As young as I was, I created alternate endings to movies that didn't give me the emotional climax I sought.
My brother and I would always listen with rapt attention as our late grandmother (bless her soul) told us one folklore after the other. My brother says I would ask questions upon questions just to understand how, why, and when certain events took place.
Along the line, my brother read to me. Then he taught me how to read. That was when my obsessive reading behavior kicked in. I would read anything I laid my hands on, and I wrote short stories and poems with terrible grammar, of course.
I got inspired to write my very first novel in my first year of Junior High School. I was around twelve years old. It was a banger to me then, but revisiting it, goodness, I cried and felt physically ill just from how cringe it actually is. I'll try and see if I can salvage the plot.
I currently have a completed romance book on Wattpad titled "Blue Fire" that I hope no family member of mine reads. It's a young adult, coming-of-age romance about a boy who realizes his soulmate is his ex's doppelganger. I always wonder how authors are able to let their relatives read their books, because I'll be mortified if a relative knew the kind of things I wrote.

In my book, there are mature scenes, family issues, self-discovery, and found friendship, among others. I was ecstatic when it passed 39,000 reads in about a year, and reading the comments of the readers expressing how much they love the story is so encouraging to me as a writer.
When I'm not reading or writing, I listen to music to fuel my creative juices. I love to sing and dance as well. I also fantasize about modeling someday, though it kind of seems far-fetched. Maybe I might. Who knows?
I am super excited and can't wait to make new friends. I also hope to learn as much as I can from this platform, share the knowledge I have, and invite other writers to join and explore as well. I appreciate that you've taken your time to get to know a bit about me, and hopefully, we'll cross paths again!
