A few weeks ago when all of the Hive community members were in London at the Hive conference, I couldn't help but think about how I feel about our community. A Hive conference isn't just about giving speeches or talking about topics related to cryptocurrency. A Hive conference is about people finally getting to meet each other face-to-face as a result of countless interactions that we've had online.
Seeing my fellow Hive community members walking into the venue from afar and turning them into actual conversation partners was something I could hardly put into words.
Having the opportunity to connect with my fellow Hive community members in London was a really special experience for me. For years, I’ve been able to collaborate and support each other's work, share ideas and build things together in a completely decentralised environment with this group of people. Seeing all of us in the same physical location allowed us to develop a deeper connection with each other than we would ever be able to develop through our online interactions.
One of the best things about the overall experience was taking the photos of all of us together. Those photographs captured a little more than just smiles. They also captured friendships, the collective journey that we're all on, and the collaborative spirit that makes up the heart of the Hive ecosystem. Every single time I look at those photos now, I can instantly relive the laughter and conversations we had while we were there.
In addition to providing a visual representation of a moment in time, photos have a great ability to preserve moments and feelings that are often difficult to convey using words alone. The photographs that we took capture the excitement, the inspiration, and the pure joy that comes from being around people who believe in the same vision for the future of blockchain as you do. They remind us that behind every single Hive account, there is a person who is actively working to create positive change.
Those are memories that I'll never be able to put a price tag on. To me, those are memories of years of building a community, learning, and growing alongside a group of people who are passionate about developing decentralised technologies. Those types of experiences serve to further solidify the bonds that exist within the Hive community and give us even more motivation to continue moving forward.
I'm very thankful for the opportunity to have spent those moments in London with such a great group of people. I know that the memories we made, the photographs that we took, and the connections we developed will remain with us for a long time. That type of experience is exactly what makes the journey on Hive something that you will always remember.
