PRELUDE
On the 21st of June, 2023 Hive in collaboration with the Computer Science Society (CSS) and the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) organized it's first ever web3, blockchain seminar on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and it was a massive success. The organization was done by and
the leaders of the Ghanaian community and was led by the other team members of the Ghanaian community including myself,
,
and
.
On the side of the Computer Science Society, there was the President of the Association Mr. Linus and Dr. Christian Ntsiful Anderson as the President of the University Students Association of Ghana. Before Hand everything was led and direct by mcsamm and collinz in procuring all the needed equipments, tools, refreshments, preparation of educational materials, sourvenirs and gifts to be distributed etc.
The Speakers Dr. Ahene from the computer Science Department, Mr. Spencer Korankye and Mr. Anaman Kwadwo Philip () were all contact ahead of time before the program under the guidance of Collinz and Mcsamm and had everything on the very day. The entire team, Hive, CSS and USAG members who were collaborating with Mcsamm and Collinz were given Hive T-shirts to represent Hive on the set day, this was also to help with publicity and guide students in locating the venue for the program.
The Event
The event was slated for 10:30am in the morning and thankfully things were on the move by that time, I had the privilege of being the Co-MC for the event alongside Dr. Anderson and it was kicked started with a friendly session where students were engaged and also given some free gifts in the form of Hive Shirts, Hive Books and Hive Pens. The program itself kicked started around 11:30am and after the prelims of introduction of dignitaries etc, we had our first speaker for the day on the Mic.
Mr. Spencer took the students through entrepreneurship and through his speech we got to learn a whole lot including how to develop the mindset of an entrepreneur, how to search and apply for funds to kick start bussinesses and why the upcoming generation ought to make great use of tech which is with us today including web3, leveraging on the good to make things better for the future. His session took quite a while after which we had an engagement with the students, those who actively participated were as usual given Hive branded gifts.
Our second speaker was Dr. Emmanuel Ahene, as a cyber security expert and a lecturer at the computer science department he left no stone unturned as he guided the assembly in understanding web1, web2 and web3 and why we ought to go in for web3. He also took us through the stages of development and the history behind these new systems, he explained the blockchain in the simplest of terms for students and answered every question students had with expert understanding. He was truly sensational and i personally loved every bit of his presentation. Once again, students who engaged were given gifts on behalf of Hive.
Our last speaker for the day was Mr. Kwadwo Anaman Philip who is a crypto enthusiast and have been with the blockchain ever since i could remember. I was privileged to introduce him and was delighted with his presentation. He took students through the Hive signup process which Mcsamm and Collinz together with ,
and other hiver have made it so simple for them to go through. The use of QR codes were employed and students were also guided to join created whatsapp groups and telegram groups through which the Hive team led by Mcsamm and Collinz would be having orientations for them after the program.
Students were also given refreshments at the end of the event and the team were equally refreshed. After Anaman's speech there was another QnA session where gifts were distributed, those who wanted more information came to talk to him later and some were also interviewed. Speaker expressed their delight and appreciation to Hive and even went ahead to talk about possibilities of a Hive club on campus to aid students in patronizing the blockchain. At the end of it all was a photography session where students and team organizers alike took turns in showing of their Hive apparel.

Conclusion
It in all i must say i am delighted by the massive turnouts and the success of the events and would once again want to say a big thank you to Mcsamm and Collinz for coming up with this and going all the way to make it a success and also for engaging Hive Ghana team in coming together to realize this goal.
As it stands now our team members from CSS and USAG are still creating their accounts and we have lots of students joining the telegram and whatsapp platforms and also creating their accounts and so i may not be able to mention their accounts to say thank you, these may be dealt with by Hive Ghana leaders in due course however, before i wrap this up let me say a big thank you to for the beautiful designs,
