Hello guys,
How is your day going? I hope you had a great weekend? I also had an amazing weekend and I’m happy to start a new week.
For weeks now, I have been looking forward to my graduation from the university. To some extent, I even got fed up of waiting because even though I wasn’t really hyped up about it that much, my family was.
Our graduation was scheduled for the 18th of November which was last Saturday. Unfortunately for me, I fell sick on the Thursday before my graduation. God being so good, I was okay on Friday after I took some drugs.
On Friday, my friends and I planned to go to campus for our
graduation gowns and medals. I had to wake up really early so I wouldn’t meet a queue. and
were those that kept me waiting.😂 These guys made us late and when we arrived we met a huge crowd so we had to join a queue. After a few minutes we received our stuff and we made our way back home.
From there, I had to go town in search of a tent since my family was traveling all the way from Accra to Tamale for my graduation. I couldn’t let them come and stand around. went with me since I didn’t know around. Finally, we found a place where we couldn’t rent a tent, chairs and tables. We spoke to the man in charge and everything was set.
We made our way back to campus to take part in a graduation rehearsal that was organized for us. We were a bit late but better late than never. It was a really funny experience as most of the students couldn’t sing the school anthem. I wouldn’t lie but our school anthem is really difficult to sing so we try our best since we only sing it occasionally.
Later that night I had to go meet the guy who was going to set up my tent for me. When I got there I received the shock of my life. There was a lot of tents already mounted. About 20+ of them. I left campus about 30 minutes ago and the whole place was empty only to come back to this. Well, I quickly secured a spot and my tent was put up for me. A few minutes later, one guy approached me saying the space I kept my tent was for him. So I was saying in my head’ so I should carry my tent away or what’.😂 I actually just looked at his face and he left to find a different place to mount his. I was relieved since I wasn’t in the mood to fight.😂 I waited for a while and made my way back home.
It was my graduation day and I was late since my family hadn’t arrived yet which meant my graduation dress hadn’t arrived also.😂 I finally made it to the auditorium at around 9:30am which was about 30 minutes late. The auditorium was really packed and there was no space for people to even sit again so those who could stand did.
There were a lot of speeches and awards sharing, then we had some people do some local dance which was really amazing. Their moves alone got everyone hyped up. The program was to end at 12pm but then as at 12:30pm we were still not done. People started to leave the auditorium to spend some time with their family and friends or take their graduation pictures.
I stepped out for a minute and it was then I realized the whole place was choked. I was walking with my elder sister but the funny thing is that we both got lost and we had to make our way back to each other through a phone call. I spent some time with my family and then went on to find my friends so we could get some pictures.
Till today, I don’t know where went for almost 3hours. Maybe he can tell us today.😂 It was really fun to meet all our friends and get some pictures for memories. At the end of the day, I think it was a really memorable occasion for us all and as we step out into the real world I pray that God guides us all to our destiny helpers and make us great.
Congratulations once again to us
I hope you enjoyed reading this, thank you for your time.
