This isn’t something new. It’s something I do all the time but someway somehow I still manage to get all worried about God knows what’s all the time and today is no different. This meeting happens to be with a few other companies also and the good and not so good part is, the one who is convincing gets to walk away with a huge sum of money as investment.
Free money they say is good but free money comes with a lot of responsibilities because free isn’t as free as they make it seem. But that isn’t even the problem. The problem is me worrying over nothing. I had a friend tell me I’m just stressing myself and I’m gonna do great cos this is what I do and here I was saying moneys play be size because I met some big guys in the came around.
Now, let me tell you what I just realized- it doesn’t matter what others do, just focus on yourself and you’ll be fine. Standing out isn’t about how old you are or what you’ve been able to accomplish. It’s about how convincing you are because honestly, no one cares about what you’ve done if you’re not able to present it in a convincing way. How you sell what you do is more important than what you think. It’s actually been a long way coming and I’m surprised it took me this long to understand that it’s not that deep. All I need to do is just do me and enjoy the experience.
