Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is "LIFE."
Since the beginning of this year, many of us have faced significant economic hardship, and because of that, it has become a challenge for many of us, especially with the continuous rise in the prices of goods and services. And because of this situation, many people are trying or forced to adapt to this new lifestyle and financial plan.
For instance, if we visit the market today to buy something, we might find out that the price of an item we bought yesterday in the market has increased. For example, imagine us buying a module of rice for #3,000 today, only to discover or find out that it had increased to #3,500 the next day. Similarly, I went to the market on monday to buy the palm slippers which I priced at #5,000 on Saturday for me to discover on that monday that it's now #7,000 I don't have a choice but to buy it since am in need of the palm slippers. This rapid increase is becoming unbearable for many of us and this is the time where our government should take action and help in this hardship.
Daily, we see prices escalating, yet it feels like our cries and pleas are falling on deaf ears. For example, on Tuesday morning, I paid #200 for a tricycle ride to school, so the next day, when I took the same tricycle to school, I discovered the fare had increased to #300. When me and some students who were inside the same ride asked the driver how the price of transport fares had increased, he explained that the rising cost of fuel is expensive, and to get fuel is scarce, that's why.

The economic hardship is becoming overwhelming, and despite our pleas to the government, they don't bother to help. Since we all see that the government is not helping, we are all working harder just to survive this hardship.
Truth be told, over the past few months, prices have surged so much that if we take #100,000 to market, we can only buy 4 to 5 items. Money now seems to lose its value daily, and we have to spend more than our budget due to the economic hardship just to meet our basic needs. If we think we don't need to spend past our budget, then we should get ready for hunger.
Do I look forward to things getting better?
Yes, I am looking forward to things getting better because if things are getting better, it's for our own benefits, especially if the government intervenes and tries to help. In order to survive this hardship, we need to keep striving and working diligently every day.
