As the saying goes all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
We all want to rest and unwind after a tiring day.
We would love to clear our minds and find solace in what we enjoy doing. Something that is not stressful but fun-filled and pleasurable.
Sometimes we fail to accomplish a task at work or fail to complete our daily goals for whatever reason, this feeling of incompetence may weigh us down and make our day unfulfilled.
Also, we love to spend our leisure doing something less stressful and interesting.
This is when games come in for us and for me.
I play a lot of games mostly outdoor games. However, my current environment does not have a spot for my favorite games so I now play online games the most.
But I can’t substitute my favorite game
with these online games.
The game I love to play most right from high school is volleyball, followed by badminton.
I still have memories of these games in my mind.
I can remember vividly the day I failed this game—badminton. It was during our inter-house sports.
I won the first and second rounds and then had some issues in the final.
My house captain was a senior prefect, she had shouted for me right before the final round began. I couldn’t concentrate on the game anymore because I was angry and distracted. That is when I understand how our moods can affect our lives and our achievements.
I lost the overall winner and our house came second. My housemaster was very angry to see me lose the game I play most. I wasn’t angry about losing the game, because I was already angry while playing it.
I can remember the feelings behind volleyball, the vest alone makes me feel important. The little wins I had made students and teachers want to have me in their group.
The acts of running, lunging, and hitting in these games can make one burn a lot of calories, but there are a lot of health benefits involved, unlike online games.
Now, I play these games with my family and friends and even make new friends in the process since it is always played outdoors.
I still have two friends I met while playing volleyball on the beach the year before last, and they have contributed to my life in so many ways.
These are the reasons I love these games, and they always have a way to ease my anxiety and make me happy.
These were the games I enjoyed most, and they are still my favorites. The only reason I’m not playing them again is my location. I’m yet to see a playground that has these facilities.
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your time and support.
