It is very well known that how we see the world and everything in it is based on where we come from — and that refers to our background, culture, tradition, and many other factors. This makes our existence in this world a beautiful one because I can't imagine how this world would have been if we all had the same thoughts, the same look, and the same culture. It would surely be a boring one, that’s for sure.
That said, the way I see things (I mean, my perspective) differs from other people’s views, and that’s natural. This difference came as a result of the environment I was brought up in, the culture and tradition of the area, and some values I grew up learning. These shaped my thoughts and changed my perception of certain lifestyles.
The Art of Fashion
I would not say I'm 100% deep into the fashion world, but I know what fashion is, what colour matching entails, and how to combine outfits to give a good look. I was brought up in a home and environment where decency in dressing was upheld. So, whenever I see anyone dressed indecently, I feel uncomfortable, even though some people justify such dressing by saying it's trendy or fashionable.
The 'indecent' dressing of ladies, which is now a common trend, is something I always frown upon. To many people out there, there's nothing wrong with wearing clothes that expose the body in an inappropriate way. In the developed countries that we often try to emulate, that pattern of dressing might be acceptable, but to those of us who were not raised that way, we see it as a negative lifestyle.
Even among males, there are some fashion trends I don’t find appealing. I still stick to the dressing style I was taught, which I believe is the proper and respectable way. But notwithstanding, fashion is something that keeps evolving. It’s something people must often adapt to, yes — I know that. But for me, I stick with the styles I’m comfortable with and that align with my values.
How I See the Lifestyle of Killing
As we all know, human lives are no longer valued by many people, and that’s why they use guns and shoot at others carelessly.
I was brought up in a setting where taking another human’s life is considered an abomination. Beyond that, we were made to believe that when a person kills someone, the ghost of the deceased haunts the murderer and causes them a restless life. Is this still the case today? No. Nowadays, people no longer think twice before taking someone’s life, and this deeply concerns me because I still see the act of murder as a grave crime that should be punished severely.
I hear and read news about killing on a regular basis and I just keep wondering if those people are still Humans or they've changed their conscience into something else.
Thanks.
