Hygiene are things we do or practice in other stay healthy and prevent diseases. Most people don't see the need to practice it when it comes to personal hygiene and most times are to tired to do the routine. Cleanliness is a most and it's very important. Like they say "cleanliness is next to Godliness" During my service year, corpers were always asked to go to a certain location every first Saturday of the month for sanitation, it was fun and rewarding actually.

It's one of those things that made my service year fun in Maiduguri because aside helping to keep the community clean, i also get to see friends i made from camp but distance and time wont allow us visit.
Here are my personal hygiene routine.
Washing my hands always: i always make sure i wash my hands when i come back from wherever i went to. Before i eat and also when i use the restroom.
Clean the restroom before use: when I'm at home i usually clean the restroom again no matter how neat it is before i use. It has become a habit that i find it difficult using restroom outside.
Washing my clothes twice every week: i don't like repeating a cloth once its worn and piling them makes the room feel stuffy most times so what i to is wash them and sundry, usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays are my laundry days.
Personally i feel keeping dirty plates make the kitchen to smell, so i mostly wash as i use and wash immediately after use. There's no need keeping them for later.
I dont share personal belongings like my towel, sponge and toothbrush no matter how close we are.
Bathing twice daily is also a routine that i most do, and also making sure i was my hair and make if every three weeks atmost one month.
I never eat unwashed fruits, even if am outside i look for water to wash my fruits of any kind. Unlike my friend that always eats dates without washing it, he will just clean it and blow it and say ordinary disease no they kill African man
Tidying my surroundings be it my room, outside or the toilet everynow and then.
When it comes to society you don't see me littering the place, if i buy something be it sweet or biscuits i usually keep the wraps in my bag and dispose when i get home or find a wastebin close to throw it.
I'm really careful when it comes to buying things outside, i have had to deal with food poisoning once because of a food a ate outside. So you can't find me buying or eating anything from roadside sellers.
