Good day, Hive family ๐.
Thank you for stopping by. I must say, Iโm truly glad to share this story with you.
Scammers are becoming more creative these days. Sometimes I wonder ๐ค why people who have such talent and skills choose to use them to deceive innocent people instead of making a positive impact in society.
Unfortunately, I was once a victim, and that experience opened my eyes.
Back then when I was still new to crypto, dog coin airdrops were trending. Everyone was rushing to claim their share, and I didnโt want to be left out so I rushed to my telegram app. I clicked on an ad that promised free dog coins and directed me to a Telegram bot. It looked real, and I trusted it.
At that time, I had just one TON coin in my wallet. The bot requested a small transaction fee, so I paid. After completing the process, I checked my wallet eagerly, expecting to see my new coins. To my shock, my wallet was empty ๐ข No dog coins. it became a painful lesson to me.
I went back to Telegram
to find out what went wrong. Thatโs when I realized something confusing โ I saw two bots with the same name, but one of them was fake ๐ซ. The ad I had clicked earlier had led me straight to the scam bot.
In that moment, I was a bit calm, because I didnโt have more funds in my wallet. If not, I would have lost everything. The experience taught me a powerful lesson
to always double-check links, especially when bots are involved.
Today, I share this story not just as a memory but as a reminder. If something looks too good, always try to double check, Protect your wallet, protect your peace.
Thanks for reading ๐
