The Valentine period is popularly known as a special time to express love, kindness, and gratitude between couples, especially those in romantic relationships. One of the reasons why I believe that any relationship,
particularly a romantic one, should be 50/50 is because both partners are very important. I see no positive reason why one person should be regarded as more important while the other is considered less important. If every relationship operates in this way, partners will live peacefully and respectfully, seeing each other as equals.
I think a romantic relationship should function in the same way as a partnership. Just like different companies partner with each other, if romantic relationships are practised in that way, most relationships will be healthier and more enjoyable. No partner will find it easy to look down on the other or try to become financially dependent.
From my personal experience, I have discovered that one of the main reasons why some relationships have issues, especially in my country, is dependency.
In many cases, you will find one partner depending completely on the other to take care of all their needs, provide money, pay bills, and more. This habit is mostly practised by some ladies, although some men do it as well. However, it is more common among some women. For one partner to be fully dependent on the other is not a good thing, and I do not see it as a positive direction that can promote peace and love in any relationship.
I believe dependency is one of the main reasons why some relationships experience serious problems. Before the partners realize it and try to stop it, the situation may have already escalated into great misunderstandings. If care is not taken, it can result in an unhealthy relationship.
So, in my opinion, every relationship, especially a romantic one, should be seen as a partnership. It should be 50/50 because both partners are equally important. They must work together to make things function well. Otherwise, many things may fall apart
