This is a pretty fancy card if I do say so myself. It's got that nifty plastic layer that can be peeled off, but we are in 2023 and I have yet to do so, and I don't plan on doing so! 25 years strong, why not wait 25 years more?
Brian Giles is another solid baseball player I watched growing up. The guy always had a good batting average and often had good homerun totals, including a career high of 39 homers in 1999.
Giles's career lasted from 1995 all the way until 2009. He played for three teams and stayed with each for a fair amount of time. He played for the Padres for seven years, the Pirates for five years and the Indians (now the Guardians) for four. He retired with 1,897 hits, 287 homeruns, 1,078 RBIs, and a batting average of .291.
Giles enjoyed two consecutive All-Star appearances in 2000 and 2001.
