I always liked this card. The image looks crystal clear and of course the A's uniform is AWESOME. That gray and green is just beautiful!
I always used to mix up Ted Lilly and Roy Halladay as a kid. Lots of L's in their names and the two were actually teammates from 2004-2006.
Ted Lilly was a really solid pitcher throughout the 2000s. I always respected his career, he steadily improved and had a nice little stretch of high level baseball.
From 2003-2011 Lilly posted double digit win totals, with a career high of seventeen wins in 2008. That's some good consistency!
Interestingly, Lilly played fifteen years and while Lilly did play for a handful of teams, he played for nearly each one of those teams for multiple seasons.
Lilly played for the Expos, A's, Blue Jays, Yankees, Cubs and Dodgers. He finished his career with a 130-113 record with a 4.14 ERA. He was also a 2x All-Star!
