This is one of my favorite cards ever!
Miguel Tejada was an athlete I seriously looked up to as a kid. I used to stare at this card and like, try to throw like Miguel I swear LOL. I loved the A's and Miguel was a high level player that played the coolest position on the field, shortstop. Miguel was AL MVP for the A's in 2002! As a kid, I played some shortstop myself so yeah Miguel was just super cool to me.
Miguel played in the MLB for 12 years, with a total of 2,171 games played. He was an Oakland Athletic for seven of those seasons! He also played for the Orioles, Astros, Royals, Padres and Giants.
Miguel had a little power to him as he managed to hit a respectable 307 homeruns throughout his career. He had 2,407 total hits in his career with a .285 batting average.
Along with his 2002 MVP I mentioned, Miguel also was a 6x All-Star, 2x Silver Slugger, and he led the MLB in RBI's in 2004.
He'll always be one of my favorite players!
