Now this card REALLY still holds up, even in person. I remember the day I got this card like it was yesterday. Capturing a World Series moment with this cool shiny color changing style to it.
I wish cards were still detailed like this. Maybe they are, I can only buy so many cards nowadays! Make me grateful for all those Christmases.
Carlton Fisk is a Hall of Famer that ALMOST helped the Red Sox break their World Series curse much earlier than 2004. I had no idea what moment this was when I got the card, but I've learned of it now. Now I can watch this moment as well as read about it on this card.
On this date, in 1975, Fisk was an absolute HERO in Boston!
Americans might have been buzzing about the film 'Three Days of the Condor' as it was on top of the box office roughly at the time Fisk smacked this legendary homer.
