I decided to write on what am into today, my catering stuff . At least to help someone.
A lot of people have different recipe in making chin chin but today,i will be sharing my own recipe of making a crunchy and palatable chin chin.
I will be using cup measurement for many that don't have measurement scale at home.
Ingredient needed for four tin cup of flour:
1.magarine-1/6 of a sachet
Granulated sugar-1/2 full tin cup
3.Egg-1Evaporated milk - 4tbspoon
5.baking powder -2tspoon
6.milk flavour - 2tbspoonGrounded nutmeg - 1tspoon
8.salt - a pinch
9.water-3 big cooking spoonGroundnut oil - for frying -1 bottle
ProcedureAdd all the dry ingredients(flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, milk flavour and salt and mixed together.
Add the magarine mixed with your hand, egg, and milk. Mixed well with your hand, add the water and mixed well to form a dough.
3.cover the dough for about 5mins,unwrap the dough and then place it on a flat suface sprayed with flour and roll it out with rolling pin.
- U can cut the dough with pizza cutter or knife into two if you can't roll it out once. Cut the dough across vertically and then horizontally to form little square.
5.put some little square into a bowl and sprinkle some flour on it.
- In a hot oil,put a piece of the square dough into the oil to make sure the oil is hot enough so that your chinchin will not be soaked in oil,if the piece comes up on the oil ,then you are good to go. U can pour some into the oil on a medium heat ,not pouring the chinchin dough that would be more than the oil ,the oil should be more than the dough. Apply till you finish the dough.
Then, your crunchy chinchin is ready. Enjoy when its cooled down.
