After a few weeks on ice the neoxian city puzzler Is back. This week we were tasked with telling a personal story using pictures. Now when I saw this prompt, I gave up at first. Majorly because I don't have any recent pictures, and I don't have any pictures that are sufficient to tell a story. But then today I was scrolling through my gallery and I came across some old photos from awhile back and they are sufficient to tell a story, so I decided to give it a whirl.
I'll be telling you the story of my visit to omu resort.
It was Christmas day and my family had already planned everything. My siblings and I were told we'd be going somewhere but we didn't know anything about where we were going.
After a short church service we all changed clothing and set out on the journey. Us kids were excited and took turns guessing where we were going.
When we finally arrived we still weren't sure what we came to do as the design at the front didn't look like a place of fun. We got checked in and were given some paper to wear on our wrists, on the paper was the plan we paid for. Immediately we stepped in our entire outlook of the place changed.
We were given someone to show us around. The first place we visited was a dimly lit room which also happened to be the aquarium. The aquarium was below par as even at 15 I wasn't impressed. There weren't any big fish and the majority of the fish they had looked dead.
Some few pictures of the aquarium
Then from there we took a stop to take a few pictures before heading to the zoo
I and my younger sister
The zoo was really nice, they had quite a handful of different animals and they all looked well taken care of. We first visited the snakes and some other reptiles

Then we headed over to the other animals. There were hyenas, caracals, emu, wolves, chimpanzees, monkeys and the main tourist attraction, the lion. All there for us to see and safely play with.
The other animals.
After spending some time we decided to go on some of the rides that were there. First we tried a small one that was shaped like a boat (can't find the pic), then my siblings and I went on the largest and scariest one. It started out slowly, and next thing I know we're upside down and the only thing holding us is our chair strap. It was genuinely nerve-wracking.

We also tried some other rides that made my head spin afterwards. Then we headed to a little pond that went round a bridge where we were allowed to kayak for 1000 naira (approx 2 dollars). We all took turns going round the bridge till our payment expired.
All smiles here 😁
From there we took some pictures, ate some food, I went to go play table tennis, and next thing I know it's evening and it's time to go.
There were some things we couldn't do because our payment plan didn't cover it. Things like Go-Karting, paintballing, and some other stuff. Perhaps one of these days I'd revisit there and give some of these things a go. Till then I guess
Thank you for reading, till next time
