Hello guys!, greetings from my end. I am new to this group and i hope we will all have good times here together as a family.
Today I will be talking on BROKENNESS.
Brokenness if I may define is the act of being broken. It simply means total surrender not minding your present sin, situation or circumstances. It is a willful act to show God that you have wronged Him and without His love you are nothing.
Many may think we need to be perfect before we can approach God but trust me fighting for perfection is absolutely exhausting and will lead you into committing more mistakes.
When we look at the life of David(a man after God's heart), one of his key feature was that he easily come in terms with himself when he makes mistake and swiftly returns to God. Many of us after our sins may feel we are not worthy to go to God, or our prayers won't be answered, do not let those thoughts creep in because it's from the pit of hell.
Psalms 51:1-17 gives you a good example of what brokenness means.
But as funny as it maybe, you can't be broken if you do not see what your wrongs are. No man on earth can tell you where you are going wrong other than yourself, just like the prodigal son, the Bible stated that "He came to himself".
"Coming to yourself" is the first key in walking towards brokenness and the faster we realise ourselves the better for us.
It is only a broken heart that will be accepted by God.
"A broken and a contrite heart thou not despise"- Psalms 51:17.
We must all look into ourselves and come back to our creator because it is only through Him our assurance rest.
