In this post I share another coin I got from a private seller and it's also a coin that was manipulated to blacken it, this one is not quite as cool as the other two I got from this seller but I did not have this round in my collection so I figured why not also made the trip to them more worth while.
It's fairly easy to make a silver coin or round like this with a liver of sulfur solution I have done so before, it's easy to get it black you just leave it in the solution for a while and black is the final stage in the toning process getting other colors can be a bit more challenging, the issue I found however is that if you leave it out in the air it can also develop some white patina on top needless to say it's not very nice, I keep these in a zip lock to prevent this.
