"Alright then, but let me tell you now, you are only going to waste your time" Ariana said agreeing to the deal.
It's one thing for your crush to reject you,but another for you to able to get rid of the feeling you had for him.
She might have been rejected by Peter, but that doesn't mean her feeling for him is dead and that's something Luke won't be able to change, but she might as well let him try, he will leave her alone at the end.
"Why? Are you scared that I will get you to fall so hard for me?" Luke ask, caressing her face while starring hotly at her lips.
"Are you so confident you will make me fall for you?" Ariana ask.
"Never been more confident about anything in my life. I sure will win the deal and you will be mine, take that as a promise from the captain"
"Alright then. You are on captain" with that said, she took the water from him and went to the dorm missing the look of appraisal on the his face as he ogle her @ss.

"So sorry you took everyone punishment. Diane is such a bitch" Brielle said as she sit beside Ariana on the bed with her arms around Ariana.
"To be honest, it was quite refreshing while running. Made me think a lot" Ariana admit.
"Serves the bitch right then" Brielle said with satisfaction.
"I don't think Diane is a bitch, I mean if I were in her shoes I will probably do the same" Kate said from where she's sitting at her desk.
"Well it takes a bitch to know a bitch, right?" Brielle ask earning a f**k you finger from Kate.
"Seriously, she's been by the captain side for like ages, hoping he'd notice her, but suddenly a nerdy girl comes out of nowhere and steal his heart, I will most likely be a beast instead of a bitch" Kate said.
"They come a real way back. I once heard my father talking about the captain. Turns out he did something wrong which is why he was sent here and Diane left everything to follow him"
"So what? It's her fault for not getting her man before he fell for Ari" Brielle said not feeling sympathetic.
"She won't stop bullying you for as long as the captain is interested in you, keep that in mind" With that said, Kate went to the bathroom while Ariana think about what she said.
<< MORNING ~ DAWN >>
Just like the first day they arrive. All recruits are line up on the field in their military uniform while being address by Lee along with some of the other instructors.
"You all know that you've got five probatory pardon. Five pardon at which if you misbehave your pardon can cover it up, but once it's used up. You will be sent packing"
"Our early morning ritual begins today and let me tell you that most of you will be using your pardon when we are done cause there will be no mistake from now on. From the way you dress to the way you talk to the way you behave, everything will be watch by the instructors. If you fail to comply with this they have the right to cut off one of your pardon. All I can say is that you stay on your best behavior that is if you want to be a student in this school" Lee pause for breath.
"So now our early morning ritual is the close order drill and I will be the one overseeing it. If you are late for it or you mess up during the drill then you recieve punishment and also get one of your pardon cut off"
"The close order drill is to establish discipline, teamwork and automatic performance of basic movement. There are four things to learn out of it, marching, formation, ceremonial movement and parade drill"
"It's not that hard to learn and I won't tolerate failure during this training. The rest of the instructors will walk you through it while I watch and you better do it right, do I make myself clear?"
"Yes sir!" They all chorus.
"Is it me or does instructor Lee looks more like the devil today ?" Brielle mouth at Kate who's standing next to her.
"Yeah, a very hot devil" Kate reply, a smile tilting her lips as she ogle Lee.
She might be planning to discard him when their bet comes to an end, but it won't be bad messing with him for a while...she could kiss that biceps all day long.
As the sun begin to rise the new recruits are in serious mood as they are being given hell to get their formation right. Few of them have been taken aside to be punish while the rest keeps being yelled at by the instructors or Lee.
It took them four hours on the field before the marching came to an end.
"Before you all leave. I will need a representative. One whose job is to make sure you all are present for the drill every morning, who is interested?"
"I will do it sir" Peter said, marching towards Lee who gives a curt nod.
"Like I said you will be in charge of making sure you all are present on ground. Think you can handle that?" Lee ask.
"Yes sir"
"Fine then. You are dismiss" Lee walk off leaving the other instructors to conclude the training.
<< CAFETERIA >>
"Gosh I almost peed in my pant when Lee said ' Do you all want a taste of my punishment' That man is the devil" Brielle complain as she eat at a table with Ariana and Kate.
By now the cafeteria is filled to the brim with the recruits who are all ravenous after the drill.
"Quit calling him a devil. I find him sweet" Kate said making Ariana and Brielle laugh.
"Girl you are totally hook if you think that guy sweet" Brielle said.
"She sure is hook" Ariana chip in.
"Your captain isn't different when it comes to you and besides, didn't you have a crush on that friend of yours?" Kate demand.
"Ariana crush on Peter isn't as crazy as your feeling for the instructor from hell" Brielle said.
"Yeah right"
Speaking of Peter, she's been avoiding him ever since her confession and he seem to be doing the same, Ariana thought starring at Peter who's busy talking with his friends on the other table.
"Much as I will like to banter with you girls, I need to use the toilet, see you at the dorm" Brielle said, picking up her tray to leave and on seeing her, Peter follow as well.
"Wait up, Brielle" Peter call and that made her stop at the hallway.
"What is it Peter?"
"Just want to know how Ari is doing? She's been avoiding me" Peter said.
"Why don't you ask her that yourself" Brielle said turning to leave, but Peter took hold of her hand.
"Are you also avoiding me?"
"Peter I..."
"I'm fine with Ari avoiding me cause I deserve it"
"Peter..."
"But I don't want you avoiding me as well" Peter finish cutting Brielle off.
"If you don't let go of my hand right now and I end up relieving myself right here, I will never talk to you again!" Brielle snap.
"Oh, sorry" Peter let go and immediately she storm off, doing an embarrassing walk which Peter can't help but to find cute.
<< LEE OFFICE >>
"I just need to talk to him, it won't even take a minute" Kate said trying to get past one of the assisting instructor guarding the door.
"No recruits are allowed to speak to the instructor. If you have something to say, I can deliver it to him"
"It is something personal. Just give me a chance to...."
"What's going on here?" Lee ask upon arriving at the scene.
"She keeps insisting to see you" His assisting said.
"I just have something important to tell you, sir. It won't take long" Kate said quickly.
"Alright then. In my office" Lee order walking in and Kate sent a glare at the assisting instructor before following Lee in.
"What's this important stuff that you have to talk about?" Lee turn to her, directing his full attention on her.
"Just this" Kate said, cupping his face to give him a kiss on the cheek startling poor Lee who is always on guard.
"And to tell you that you were quite hot during the drill this morning. See you later hottie" she blow him a kiss before going out.
Lee regain his composure, his hand touching the place Kate had place her mouth, he knew she's crazy but he didn't expect such a bold move.
It will get more than a kiss for him to succumb to her charm, Lee thought while smiling to himself.
Filled to the brim and deserted by her friends, Ariana went back to the dorm, she was alighting the stairs that led to her room when she's suddenly pulled into the emergency exit.
She was about to scream when she see the captain.
"You scared me" she said leaning against the wall.
"You must be happy to see me" He reply smiling. A smile that got her belly tingling.
Steeling her guard, Ariana stand upright and say while wearing a serious expression. "What can I do for you, Sir?"
If she's going to win the deal, she should do her best in showing this man that she's not attracted to him at all.
"What's with the sir? You are free to talk to me the way you want when we are alone" Luke said.
"Really?" Ariana ask faking a smile and he nod in reply.
"Fine then. Seems like I will end up leaving this place sooner than I thought. Do you know what instructor Lee made us go through today...my legs are shaking so bad that I....what are you doing?" Ariana gasp the moment Luke envelope her in a warm hug.
"Isn't it what couples do?" He ask, burying his face against her neck.
"It's not and I'm sweaty"
"I love sweaty women" he said breathing in her scent.
"We are not a couple, Luke" Ariana said, wondering why she's snuggling close when she's meant to push him away.
"We will be cause I will end up winning. Just wanted to give you the mandatory hug" he said letting her go.
"Mandatory? Will I be subjected to your hugs everyday?"
"Yes and many more. If I'm going to make you mine then I will have to be more touchy around you. Don't worry you will end up getting use to my hand on you"
"More like dreading it" she toss back making him laugh.
"I really can't wait to make you mine, princess" he said pulling her against him.
"It's best you give up now" Ariana said, placing her hand against his strong chest.
"Never, see you later" he added giving her a kiss on her forehead before walking off.
<< DIANE'S OFFICE >>
"What's the matter Caroline?" Diane ask on seeing the worried look on her assistant face.
"It's just that the captain has order you to leave the training ground and go back to the school. He doesn't want you training the new recruits"
"What? How can he do that to me?"
"I think it's because of what happen yesterday"
"Damn him! How can he discard me all because of a stupid girl!" Diane cry out banging her fist on the table.
"Will you do as he say?" Caroline ask.
"Of course not! I won't give him a chance to be alone with that girl...Luke is mine and I plan to stay here and convince him of that fact" Diane said with fierce determination.

<< DIANE'S OFFICE >>
"Do you know why Luke was transfered here?" Diane ask starring at Caroline.
"No"
"He was once close to a girl. She was in the military like us. Her name was lily and she became so obsess with Luke"
"Unfortunately for her Luke didn't reciprocate her feeling and so she killed herself. Her death plagued Luke and everyone except me. She's stupid for killing herself " Diane said without feeling.
"Her brother Andrew couldn't accept her death and so he blamed it on Luke and vow to kill him and everyone close to him. Hearing this Luke got his family out of the country but that didn't stop Andrew cause he still went ahead to attack someone close to Luke and that's me. See this scar?" Diane ask showing her a scar on the neck.
"It's the scar I got when Andrew kidnapped me. I almost died but luckily they found us and Andrew has been in jail ever since while Luke was transfered here to stop the press from snooping and I also tag along to stay by his side"
"That's crazy" Caroline said when Diane was done talking.
"Crazy? What's crazy is that Andrew is about to be release from jail and so if I contact him and let him know about Luke and his new found girlfriend. I'm pretty sure Andrew will do the job for me"
"Which is?"
"To kill Ariana. After all Andrew made a promise to get rid of everyone Luke care about and so Ariana will be his first target. All that's left for me to do now is to contact him" Diane reply, letting out a cruel smile.
<< LATER THAT DAY >>
After a gruelling training. Ariana was heading to the female restroom when Peter stop her.
"Can we please talk?" he ask, holding onto her hand.
"Sure" Ariana reply, feeling a bit wary around him.
She's been avoiding him because she didn't want to talk about what happen between them, but it's time for them to have that talk.
"How have you been doing?" Peter ask.
"Fine. What about you?" Ariana ask in return.
"Same. About what happen..."
"We don't have to talk about it, Peter"
"Yes we do. I might not be in love with you, but I still want you as my friend cause you are my best friend Ari"
"And you are as well, but right now I can't be around you"
"Is it because you still believe yourself to be I love with me?" Peter ask and when she said nothing he continue.
"You don't love me, Ari. You might have believe that you did and for years you've carried that thought with you, but you are not in love with me" he said and when he sees the look of disbelief on her face, he continue his speech.
"Tell me honestly. If you are to choose between the captain and I. Who will be your choice?"
"Why are you suddenly bringing the captain into...you must have heard the rumour?" Ariana conclude.
"I did. There are a lot of gossip going around that about you and the captain and to be sincere. I have seen the way he looks at you and the way you look at him as well"
"What do you mean?" Ariana ask.
"What I mean is that the captain owns your heart now. You may find it hard to believe, but you like the captain. Tell me while sitting next to me, do you still feel your heart racing? Or do you still think of me as the only great thing in your life?" Peter ask while Ariana think.
It is true. She's been sitting next to Peter and all the giddy feeling she always had around him isn't presenting itself right now.
"I'm pretty sure you feel these things whenever you are close to the captain" Peter said and once again Ariana think on it.
It is true. Whenever she's close to Luke, her hearts tend to do an overdrive while her body longs to be close to him.
"I...I know it's not up to me to tell you this, but I do hope you are happy with the person you truly love and that person is the captain. It might take sometime for us to go back to being best friends again, but know that I will be waiting for you. I really miss our friendship " Peter said, getting on his feet.
"Wait" Ariana call out to him and he turn to her.
"Who is she? Who is this girl you are inlove with? I deserve to know" Ariana said waiting for Peter answer.
<< LUKE OFFICE >>
"I can't believe you are asking me to leave the training ground" Diane said the moment she walk into his office.
"You do know why I'm doing this" Luke reply.
"I do and I know it's because I punish that girl. I can't believe you, Luke. Are you going to throw away our friendship just for her?"
"I'm not throwing anything away. It's you who is doing that"Luke reply.
"I'm just trying to protect you. I did that five years ago and I'm still doing it, but it means nothing to you, right?" Diane demand referring to the issue of Andrew and Lily.
"You are going to just throw away all of my effort just so you can be with that stupid girl"
"Mind your language, Diane"
"Or what? You will send me away from here? I think it's time I remind you why we were brought here. Have you forgotten Andrew and Lily or his threat to kill everyone you care about?"
"I was his victim and I would have died if you and the others didn't arrive on time to save me"
"Where are you going with all this? Why bring up the past?" Luke ask.
"Andrew is out of jail. I just got a word from our friends back at the headquarter. If he is out then you know that that girl is not safe. Remember Andrew threat, he said he is going to kill everyone you care about and that girl is one of them" Diane said getting through to Luke.
Knowing that she's finally getting him to rethink things, Diane continue her speech.
"If you keep hovering around her and Andrew gets to know then she will be in danger just like I was. I was able to get out unscathed, but do you think she will?"
"I think you've said enough, Diane" Luke said standing on his feet.
"Well I do hope you keep all this in mind as you continue your obsession with that girl. She's not safe if she's around you so let her go now" Diane added before leaving the room, happy that she get her way this time.
<< TRAINING GROUND >>
"You wanted to see me?" Brielle ask approaching Peter under the shaded tree.
"Yeah, I did" he said in return starring at Brielle nervously.
"I talked to Ariana earlier and we...uh...we became friends again" Peter said.
"That's great! Are you sure Ari is no longer mad at you cause I seriously want this tension between us to end" Brielle said.
"Ariana realise that she doesn't really like me. Well, her feelings for me is not that deep like she thought"
"Really? Did she say that to you or the other way around"
"I kind of made her realize it"
"Common dude! Why do something like that?"
"Cause I have to confess to the girl I really like"
"So you are willing to hurt Ariana just so you can confess to the girl you like? What is wrong..."
"I told her the identity of the girl that I like" Peter said cutting into her words.
"What? Really? How did she take it? Who is the girl?" Brielle ask.
"I did tell her and she surprisingly Ariana was calm after I told her who she is"
"So who is this girl? Tell me who she is?" Brielle demand.
"It is you"
"Huh?"
"You are the one I like, Brielle. I like you so much" Peter reveal leaving Brielle speechless.
