It was a typical british weather day today. I set off down to the local nature reserve for a walk. It was nice and sunny with lovely blue sky. It was only a 10 minute drive, but by the time I'd parked up, the dark clouds were looming.
I made my way down the gravel footpath. I had intended to go a little further today, but I didn't like the rain clouds overhead, so I decided to play safe and had a short walk around the ponds.
Quite a lot of trains went past. The railway lines seemed to be busier than usual.
As I got onto the wooden decking around the pond, I noticed nature was taking it over. The reeds had begun to grow through the cracks in the boards.
I double backed with all the ponds now on my right. So far, it still hadn't started to rain. Perhaps I'm going to be lucky today. Normally, it waits until I'm halfway round before the heavens open up.
I made my way back up to the car park. For nature lovers and bird watchers, there’s usually something to see, but apart from a few tufted ducks in the distance, there wasn't much to see today. At least I stayed dry!
