We took a walk on the Clowne Branch Line, Greenway which is a relatively new development making the disused railway line accessible for all. The trail is about six and a half mile long.
Work continues on the trail to make it more accessible. Since I last visited, they have erected some signage, signals and a seat.
Historically, Clowne has been known by different names such as Clune, Clown, so it's nice they've given a nod to the past by also having a sign spelt 'Clown'.
I can just see myself sat here waiting for a train that will never arrive. A bit like modern trains .... 🙄
People seem to be decorating the trail with cuddly toys and dolls. Someone will always be watching over you .....
I'm looking forward to getting the bike out in the summer to visit other villages that are linked to the trail.
