Another freezing, cold day as we went to see the ‘anti-violence bee’ in Cromford, Derbyshire that is doing the rounds, buzzing from district to district.
The bee is raising awareness of the impacts of knife and gun crime. It is 11 ft tall and built by the British Ironwork Centre and is made from knives and firearms that were seized off the streets or handed in.
The bee turned up on a police trailer. The police stuck around to give out advice and chat to members of the public.
I can't believe that people had these weapons in their possession. They scare the hell out of me but the art work is brilliant.
Hopefully, the bee will get people talking about the dangers of weapons and deter young people not to get involved with knife and gun crime.
