Last evening, we enjoyed lamb chops and a bottle of wine. What's so special about that?
I shall tell you: 21 years ago, I cooked lamb chops the first time The Husband (he wasn't then) had supper at my table. It was a Friday.
Every year, on February 4th, since then, we have (or try) to have lamb chops. The difference, now, is that The Husband braais.
That bottle of wine, a gift from the owner of that winery, has been waiting (even through lockdown prohibition) for just this occasion.
It's been quite a ride. Neither of us would change it.
