Given the opportunity and chance, we all have places we would want to just run to every now and then to spend some quality time and enjoy ourselves but most times life gets in the way. Things like work, family commitments, and others may prevent us from doing that as much as we would love to.
In my case, commitment to nurturing my family has most of the time let me go on some pleasure and adventure time. And now I miss those times when I could just hump into the next available vehicle to any location of my choice, these days I have to put more things into consideration. Such as my hubby and my son.
Sometime in January last year just before we left Abujs for Kaduna State. My Niece, hubby, his friend, and I went on a little adventure trip to Zuma Rock and I had the time of my life😊 even if it was just for a little while. Ever since, I wished I could go back and explore this beautiful work of nature.
One of the things I love about Abuja compared to my present state is the availability and close proximity of natural environments, such as forests, rocks, dams, and parks
We were so lucky then, that our house was just twenty minutes drive to the location of Zuma Rock. My only regret was that I was only able to visit it briefly just once due to hubby's busy schedule and it is not a place I can just visit alone.
So if I could spend a day somewhere of my choice would be at the Zuma Rock. I want to explore this beautiful place. I still remember how refreshing and energetic I felt during our first visit and I wish to experience that and more once again.
This time around I want to move towards the locals, interact with them, and ask them more about the story of this place, which I know they will be so glad to share. I could talk to them about hive and let them know I will be sharing their stories with my friends and who knows if they are interesting enough, some may decide to come onboard to hive.
This time around I could play my favorite music while I danced freely to its tune. I want to climb the rock and shout to the top of my voice knowing that no one will care or even hear me. As that will be like a great freedom for me.
I want to feel and breathe the fresh air of this place once again.
Since I have a whole day to myself, I will spend some hours climbing the rock, taking some beautiful pictures of the rock and the ground from the above. As I can bet it will be a very nice view.
I want to walk barefoot in this little water I met some time ago. It may sound silly but I will love to just play around it, by freeing my inner child, as sometimes that is all I need.
I could move closer to this haunted house, snap more pictures and if possible I enter inside to get more interesting views.
If I could do all these in one day, I believe my day will be well spent. I will feel a lot more alive than prior to my visit. I could reflect on life in general and get more inspiration about my dream. As a place such as this could inspire anyone to unlock their greatest idea.
Presently, I do not know when again I will be back to visit this rock but I believe when the time is right and the universe aligns with my thoughts, I will be at this wonderful place once again.
