Like Gotham City and Metropolis, The City of Neoxian appears to be a representation of New York City. If I go by the cover image used by neoxian.city, this is the impression I have. As a native of New York City, this has double meaning for me. While my experience with the City of Neoxian has mostly been with the NEOXAG arriving in my wallet which I then stake, tonight I wanted to post about Found Silver in the City of Neoxian.
(This post is exclusive to The City of Neoxian.)
During the day I went to a store Woodside to buy a bottle of green tea before eating a Whopper at Burger King. At both places I paid cash, so I received some coins as part of the change.
A couple of hours after I returned home I took the change out of my pocket to see which coins I would gather to put in rolls for a bank deposit eventually. I also check for special coins: copper cents, Buffalo nickels, and reeded coins prior to 1965.
In my pocket was a 2010 Wyoming quarter. It was highly reflective, so I wanted to get a closer look a it. It had the "S" mint mark, indicating it was a proof coin minted in San Francisco. I don't see many proof coins floating around as spare change, so this was a pleasant surprise.
The bigger surprise came when I saw the reeded edge of this proof quarter. Instead of the characteristic grey and copper edge on most coins, this one had one solid color. Silver.
As soon as I realized it was silver I tought this was better than found money! With 1 troy ounce of silver priced at USD 25.90, and the 5.67-gram quarter having a silver content of 90%, USD 4.25 found its way into my pocket. This was better than found money!
As with our favorite Hive tokens (including NEOXAG), there's just one thing for me to do with this quarter: HODL.
It's not often I find silver coins in my spare change, so be sure that I hold on to them. Even more special is the fact this is...
