I know it happens to all of us when we come back home after a long day but fail to feel refreshed. A simple reason is we feel overwhelmed with different stuff in our home. It causes extra stress and tension rather than making us feel happy. Maybe it's the home stuff, maybe it's just the environment, maybe it's the inappropriate color of the wall or the improper light. It can be anything. So, identifying them and making our home a place where we can feel peace is very necessary.
Then what can be the solution?
Well, I recently learned some helpful techniques which I believe can help on this to make our home a breathing place again.
Decluttering: There's no other best alternative than getting rid of unnecessary stuff. So recycle, give away the things you don't want and we'll organize the others.
White space in the home: Don't overstuff your home. Make some room for fresh air and walk. Even if it's a tiny home, you can practice minimalism to do that.
Create a good environment: Have a wind chime, neat and clean indoor or put some music on. Create a happy feeling.
Make it green: Get some real plants like flower plants or other indoor ornamental plants. It gives so much positive energy, you may never guess.
And last but not the least add fragrance. It works as a mood booster and automatically makes us feel happy.
I won't say these are the list we must follow rather it's just some examples. You can experiment with what makes you happy and what needs to be done at your home. No matter what you do, what decor you add to make sure it doesn't overwhelm you and make you feel good, give you a fresh feeling.
