Did you ever notice when you recall a good memory, how it makes you feel happy? This technique can be a great tool to fight loneliness, anxiety, and sadness. Good memories are a nice tool to boost our mood. And the best thing is it's easy and doesn't require any special environment or much effort.
But it's not always easy to make ourselves recall memories, especially when there are lots of other memories related to it which we don't want to recall. That's why we need some intentional effort to make it work. Here I'm sharing some simple way through which we can make ourselves easily accept our memories and pick the good one to boost our mood.
Be truthful to yourself. There's nothing to feel bad about our old memories. Accept everything from heart and face reality. Embrace your feeling towards your memory. It will help you to have a good feeling or I should say a positive attitude to accept your memories.
Treat your current bad feeling with your old good memories. It always works. So no matter what condition you are in, how people make you feel bad; recall the good memories with them. It helps to have faith and a good feeling about the people around us also.
Take the help from meditation. If you find it difficult to calm your mind and recall good memories then try meditation. It helps a lot to have peace in mind and fill it with nostalgia.
Our good past makes us hopeful for the future. The more we give our brain the message that we are positive about life, we feel happy, the more we will feel happy in reality.
Make this chain reaction on your brain to help you feel better in present.
