Hello all,
I shall no longer be giving loans to the general public in Hive (or Splinterlands, or other crypto spaces.)
I'm not even sure why I ever got into it in the first place. It was never something I needed to do. I guess it was kind of interesting in the beginning. But the novelty wore thin very quickly as I started to get ripped off, or had to deal with whining deadbeats with excuses on why they can't pay.
Raymond Baxter (@neoxian/scam-warning-raymondspeaks-and-bro) was the last straw. When I give loans to people, I'm opening myself up to bullshit like this, getting sucked into stuff that I would rather not be a part of. Honestly I'm fucking done.
I have four loans left on the books right now, and when I get them resolved, I'll finally be done with it.
Don't you make a lot of money in Hive?
No, I absolutely DO NOT. Rest assured that 99.999% of my money came from else where, and not Hive.
Do you need to do these loans?
No, I don't and never did.
I'm not sure I could recommend this type of loan business to anyone. It's a tedius minimum wage job that pays chump change and there is better uses of my time and better ways to make more money, easier and safer.
Heck even HBD is still paying 15% apr and yes, it's not risk free, but still better then trusting random people.
