Looking back I still don't understand why Ray made this move outside of him just being a scammer that ran out of money. I would have never bought BRO if I knew Ray could even do something like this.

No, I absolutely DO NOT. Rest assured that 99.999% of my money came from else where, and not Hive.

I have been pushing back on the narrative whales make a lot of money on HIVE; well before I was a whale.

People just see a wallet and think someone doesn't deserve that much because other people are poor. That is not how the world works. People who have money and think this way end up losing it all and become poor.....

Most people do not realize that it is WAY easier to lose all your money than it is to make it in the first place. Making money back is not a thing.

It's sad that many others who really need help are constantly being denied of receiving because of the past behaviours of some who had jeopardize the opportunity when they had it. You just did what you needed to do in helping and there's no crime in that even as a business. It's just sad based on the experience or the reason that led to the closure

The only way I can see this working on hive is with smart contracts and collateral first later, sort of like how taking a loan in usdc against your bitcoin works on dex's these days. Cause with HP and key changes like you've been doing seems very problematic, especially with recovery in place and a hive price that won't quit being volatile. Other than that it's way too much of a hassle. Thanks for offering something unique here to people over the years, however, even when it barely got you anything of value. I know you saved me from some liquidity issues a few times with your loans!

Fully understandable decision. Dealing with unreliable borrowers and scams can become overwhelming.
As you mentioned, there are better ways to invest your time and money that come with less hassle.

Time is the most valuable thing we have to offer, my friend, and if you use it wisely, you'll have other things to do. The important thing is to do something that makes you happy. All that's left is to complete the four loans, and that's it! Better times are coming for you.

Honestly, trusting random people is complicated, but the important thing is that I have the opportunity to collect and start over.

Never do loans unless there is something granted to you to rapay the loan in case of insolvent people... Still it's an hassle chase for missing payments

Probably a good idea. There has been a lot of talk about Hive provided loans, but with HBD providing low risk 15% apr I don't see why anyone would would take on the risk.

It's very difficult for an individual to avoid getting hurt when lending money; the risk is much greater when we're talking about cryptocurrencies. Those who take out loans are usually in a precarious financial situation, so it's only a matter of time before someone defaults. That's what banks are for; since they lend with their depositors' money, they can support delinquent and uncollectible borrowers.

As far as I know you were the only one who give loan to others. And I have witnessed that few of hivers got the support when they needed it most. I used to think why you give loans to others. Whatever, you have done amazing work and supported several people (whom I know) in the time when they needed the help.

Support to NOT do crypto loan. Price drop they don't repay you the liquidity. Price hike they won't say thank you for helping them to safe keep their crypto assets.

I need a loan but I wont ask from you. That's a bank duty and that their line of business. Sometime people forget when a loan comes from someone else especially a friend, it will not be something that is purely business. 4 more steps to go, and you will be freed from those burden

It's nasty behaviour, and I understand why you wouldn't want to open yourself up to further unpleasant experiences like this one. I believe it's the best decision at a time like this. Thank you very much. I'm not sure if you were involved in that, but when I needed help, I searched and found you, and thanks to that loan, I was able to solve something that was urgent for me.

If there was one thing I learnt from your experience with Ray, it was to keep business at business; that way, one won’t completely lose out. From your blog one can tell that it was quite an exhausting experience for you, but regardless, lesson learnt.

I respect your decision on this Mr Dragon. Trust is often abused and whatever to protect your peace is fine. I am sure the loan helped a lot of people here on hive , at least it started on a good note but it is what it is now.
